MAVERICK CAMP:
Maverick camp is available to any Scout whose troop cannot attend Summer Camp. Troops in attendance are asked to "adopt" these Scouts, so they can get the full experience of Summer Camp. The Maverick camper will join in with the host troop during the week. The Maverick program requires that a boy is a registered Scout and he must have his parent's and his Scoutmaster's approval. Registration for Maverick Camper should be done by the parents through the Northwest Texas Council Service Center. No troop can send more than four Mavericks to camp. More than four must have adult supervision from their respective troop. SCOUTMASTERS - MAKE SURE YOU GIVE ALL YOUR SCOUTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE SUMMER CAMP. TELL THEM ABOUT MAVERICK CAMP. AS SCOUTMASTER, YOU MUST APPROVE THEIR MAVERICK CAMPER REGISTRATION.
